In this new series of articles we will be delving beneath the skin of some of the worlds fastest racing vehicles thanks to the skilled artwork of Mr Roy Scorer.

Stock cars participate in various race series all over the world, the most famous being NASCAR. Over the years stock car racing has changed and mutated into a variety of different events, with their own rules and vehicle designs. Some events use cars which, while completely different to their road going counterparts, have a bodyshell somewhat similar to the vehicles on which they are supposedly based. Others, like this monster from the V8 Stock Car series in the UK (similar to the American Sprint car series) are entirely custom built. And they look it.
