2005
Motorcycle Design Winners Revealed
Concept
cars and motorbikes
Each year members of the Motorcycle
Design Association, including over 120 professionals from the
motorcycle research and development industry worldwide, nominate
the best motorcycle designs from all new models introduced over
the year.
In
six
categories, bikes from some of the best known manufactures, and
some obscure ones too, battled for top honors. In each of the categories
the winning bike led by a clear majority, the fight mainly being
for second place.
For the overall best bike, the competition was much tougher, 17
models being nominated. However the Ducati Hypermotard supermoto
concept emerged the winner, coming in with 50% more votes than its
nearest rival, the Yamaha
MT-OS concept bike.
The awards will be presented to the winners later in 2006.
