Ascari
Race Resort
As well as being the manufacturers of the Ascari
KZ1 supercar, in 2000 Ascari began to develop the first world's
first 'Race Resort'. It took 2 years of research to find the ideal
location for the track. In the end the South of Spain proved to be
the winner. 8km outside Ronda, 50km from Marbella and 80km to Malaga
International Airport to be precise.
The Ascari race track is located in a beautiful secluded valley, here
guests will experience an entirely new concept in adventure holidays.
On offer is a 5,425 meter (the longest in Spain) race track providing
all the thrill seekers an adrenaline rush, and a 20 room luxury hotel
for pampered guests.
Construction started on the track back in 2002 and the course is now
complete. The challenging track boasts high average speeds and an
overall length greater than most F1 circuits. However if required
it can be broken down into three separate sections, or tracks. The
well balanced circuit comprises of 13 right-hand and 12 left-hand
bends and at 12.2 metres wide with full safety precautions the Ascari
track is FIA compliant.
One of the intriguing aspects of the Ascari race track is that many
of the corners have been designed to emulate legendary racing curves,
including Eau Rouge, Paddock Hill and the Karrousel.
Everything at the track has been built to the highest standards. The
resort has wireless broadband access throughout, and a health and
beauty centre is available for those not quite so obsessed with racing.
Cars available for use at the Ascari track include: a Le Mans Race
Car (LMP 900 two seater, Radical
SR3's , Reynard Chrysler single seaters, Lotus
Elise race cars, a BMW 3 Compact, off-road buggies and the offer
of absolutely any car desired, if you give them some notice.
