Adjusting Screw

An adjusting screw is any small screw which is uses to adjust another part or the manner in which it operates.

For example an adjusting screw can be tightened or loosened to allow more or less fuel into a carburetor. Alternatively an adjusting screw can alter the beam angle of a headlight.

The average vehicle can have dozens of adjusting screws to provide adjustment for all kinds of different parts.
