Anode
An
anode is the terminal of a device, such as a battery, where
electric current flows in. It is sometimes said that the anode
is the positive terminal but this is not always true. For
example, if a battery is discharging, the positive terminal
is the cathode; if the same battery is recharging, the positive
terminal is the anode.
