Steel Braided Line

Steel braided lines are used in place of conventional rubber lines which carry high pressure fluids. The steel braiding helps the hose to keep its shape when hydraulic fluids are being forced through, such as brake or clutch fluid. Usually found as standard on high performance vehicles or fitted as a aftermarket performance part, real braided lines will provide stronger braking and feel.

Real steel raided lines should not be confused with the cosmetic braided hose covers which can be fitted over existing rubber hoses and which give no real performance benefit.
