Caliper
A brake caliper is the component of a disk brake which straddles
the brake disc (rotor) and houses the piston(s), cylinder(s)
and brake pads. Movement of the piston(s) inside the caliper
pushes the brake pad against the rotor (brake disc) to slow
or stop the vehicle.
