Carbon
Monoxide is a toxic, odorless gas (chemical formula CO), which
is formed from incomplete combustion. The emission of it from
road vehicles is subject to statutory control. Through the
use of the lambda probe-equipped (three-way) catalytic converter,
it has been possible to reduce carbon monoxide concentrations
due to road vehicles to safer levels.
