Chassis
The
chassis of a vehicle describes the supporting frame (chassis
is a French word meaning “frame”) or platform that supports
the body, engine, powertrain and suspension components of
an automobile. Often different models and even different makes
of vehicle will share the same underlying chassis, this is
done to save money on development costs.
