Convertible
A
convertible is a car with a folding top and side windows.
In the US from the later 1920s on, the term was used to mean
a car with a soft, retractable top that connected permanently
to the bodywork, unlike the removal top of a roadster. Other
requisites were side windows that opened and the absence of
any framework above the waist of the car apart from the windshield.
A convertible coupe had two doors, a convertible sedan four doors.
