Drivetrain

The drivetrain of a vehicle is the assembly of components and systems which provide propulsion. The drivetrain of a conventional family car usually consists of an internal combustion engine, transmission, driveshaft(s) and wheels.

In electric powered vehicles the drivetrain would include components like the electric motor, any accompanying battery pack, fuel cell, or electricity generation system like regenerative braking.
