Flasher Unit

A small unit that controls the flashing of the direction indicator lights. It is normally located under the dashboard or in the fuse box. Flasher units are usually a small metal cylinder ( perhaps an inch in diameter) which plugs in to a socket. If your car's indicators are flashing very rapidly, or not flashing at all and there is just a constant light, then the flasher unit is probably the cause of the fault.
