Fuel Reformer

A fuel reformer is an alternative to storing hydrogen fuel in fuel-cell-powered vehicles. No infrastructure currently exists for delivering hydrogen fuel to consumers, and hydrogen-storage technologies are so large they would limit the driving range of any car. Researchers have created onboard fuel-reforming devices that release the hydrogen bound up in readily available hydrocarbon fuels.
