Hardtop

A hardtop is a removable top, typically made of fiberglass though sometimes of steel, which usually matches in color and style the body of the car, and turns a convertible or roadster into a genuine coupé. A hardtop reduces aerodynamic drag and interior noise and , and provides better protection against bad weather than a softtop, with which it can often be interchanged. The term “hardtop” is also applied to a vehicle with a fixed roof and retracting window glass but no exposed B-pillar, meant to have the appearance of a convertible.
