HEMI (engine)

A HEMI is an engine with hemispherical combustion chambers; the term is applied especially to a variety of high -performance Chrysler V-8 engines manufactured between1951 and 1971. The Chrysler 426 Hemi -- one of the most famed production engines in American automotive history -- forms the basis for most Top Fuel and Funny Car engines.
