Suspension
A
suspension system in which each road wheel can move up and
down independently of the others. On most vehicles manufactured
today, independent suspension is standard.
Independent suspension systems generally offer superior handling
over other suspension systems, like live axles, due to the
fact that each wheel is not affected by the suspension movements
of another wheel.
