Monobox
The
term monobox (or monospace, monovolume, one-box) is an expression
which describes the overall layout of a vehicle which is composed
of a single volume.
Common examples of monobox vehicles include MPVs or minivans.
A monobox vehicle has the engine, passenger compartment and
cargo area contained within one box-like shape. The engine
and passenger compartment are separated by a firewall.
