Parking Brake
Also
called an emergency brake or a hand brake, the parking brake
is a hand - or foot - operated brake that applies brake shoes
or break pads against the braking surface on a car's rear
wheels.
Some modern parking brakes lock onto the front wheels instead
of the rear wheels.
