Plasma
Plasma
is sometimes referred to as the fourth state of matter, plasma
is a gas consisting of free electrons and ionized molecules
in roughly equal proportions. Much of the use of plasmas in
nitrogen oxides reduction involves non-thermal plasmas, for
which ion and gas molecule mean energies are much lower than
the mean energy of electrons.
