Spoiler

Spoiler
A spoiler is an aerodynamic feature typically attached to the rearmost upper edge of the trunk and extending sometimes to the top of the rear quarter panels. Another common position for a spoiler is at the base of the front bumper. Spoilers in this position are sometimes referred to as 'lip spoilers'. A spoiler changes the direction of the airflow around a vehicle in order to reduce lift or aerodynamic drag, and/or improve engine cooling.
