Now
here's an idea that makes a lot of sense. Instead of just
protecting your head AFTER you've had an accident, the
Alliance Hi-Viz from Icon aims to help stop some accidents
happening in the first place.
One of the biggest dangers bikers face on the roads are
drivers who don't see them - or see them too late. Oddly
many bikers choose to wear dark colored clothing and dark
helmets - while riding a dark colored bike. These guys
aren't helping themselves.
Icon have designed the Alliance Hi-Viz to help bikers
stand out, especially under low light or in poor visibility.
However at the same time they've also designed a pretty
good looking lid. The danger is that you could have looked
like you're riding around with a traffic cone on your
head - but thanks to some nice styling touches you won't!
The Icon Alliance Hi-Viz helmet comes in either yellow
or orange, and the silver graphics are actually reflective
strips, which should help make riders considerably more
visible, especially from the side angle at night where
the bikes lights are least effective at highlighting the
vehicle's presence.
The Icon Alliance Hi-Viz helmet features an injection
molded polycarbonate shell, dual vents on the top, vents
at the rear to prevent heat buildup, a removable molded
breath deflector, a fully removable and washable liner
and a quick change fog-free visor.
