ATS stands for Automobili Turismo Sport, and the 2500 GT was
their first road car, and more significantly, the first mid-engined
Italian road car. Most of ATS's employees had worked for Ferrari,
who they intended to dethrone. They produced a F1 car which
was a total failure. |
