The Alpina B7 is essentially a modified version of the BMW 750i.
And as usual Alpina has raided BMW's performance parts bin in
order to achieve the increased performance.
To perform the transformation - which for the most part occurs
under the bodywork, Alpina have bolted on two turbochargers
and some intercoolers. This raises the output of the 4.4 litre
V8 to a sturdy 507 horsepower @ 5,500 rpm and 516 lb-ft of torque
@ 3000- 4750 rpm.
Thanks to this revised powerplant the Alpina B7 can hit an electronically
limited top speed of 174 mph and complete the 0-60 mph drag
race in just four and a half seconds.
The Alpina B7 also features a revised suspension setup which
drops the car by 15mm up front and 10mm at the rear. Massive
21 inch wheels are then bolted on to fill out the arches.
