The
427R Ford Mustang from Roush is based on the already potent
Roush Stage 3 Mustang, but with an additional 12 horsepower,
bringing the number to 427.
The 427R has a 4.6 litre V8 like the standard Ford Mustang but
with the addtion of a 'ROUSHcharger' system (a supercharger),
and a recalibrated computer to work in unison with the new intake
and exhaust system an extra 115 bhp is gained over the standard
car.
Roush have also turned their attention to the bodywork of the
427R Mustang and equipped it with a four-piece bodykit including
a new front bumper, chin spoiler, hood scoop and rear wing.
The 427R is also fitted with 18" chrome wheels and a unique
striping kit.
Handling has been improved with the fitting of sports suspension
including all-new front struts, rear shocks, front and rear
springs and swaybars.
