German tuner Kicherer have developed a performance package for
the Mercedes SLS AMG.
The Kicherer Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 Supersport GT features the
same 6.2 litre V8 as the standard SLS, however Kicherer's engineers
have fitted it with a new exhaust system and played with the
engine's computer control module, resulting in an additional
67 horsepower and 37 lb-ft (50 Nm) of torque.
The important numbers now stand at 630 horsepower and 516 lb-ft
(700 Nm) of torque. All that extra grunt amounts to a 0-62 mph
(100km/h) time of 3.5 seconds and a 199 mph (320km/h) top speed.
The exterior design of the SLS 63 Supersport GT by Kicherer
features an array of carbon fiber components, including a new
hand-made front grille and a set of carbon fins for the mudguard
and cowl. The 20-inch, three-piece forged wheels are also unique
to the Kicherer model, as is the special height adjustable suspension
kit with lift-up function that raises the car by 30mm at the
touch of a button.
Inside the Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 Supersport GT by Kicherer are
a range of carbon fiber accessories which adorn the inside of
the doors, the center console, the sill guards, seat backs and
tray lid.
