Tuners TechArt have much experience with creating modified Porsche
models, and their latest product reflects this expertise.
The TechArt GTsport is based on a Porsche Cayman S. It features performance
modifications as well as the visible styling enhancements. A
3.8 litre flat-6 engine developing 385 horsepower courtesy of
an increased bore, larger pistons and a special crankshaft is
further complimented by a modified intake manifold, performance
air filter system, exhaust system and remapped ECU.
Powered by this potent engine the lightweight TechArt GTsport
accelerates to 60 mph in just under 5 seconds, continuing on
to a 177 mph top speed.
TechArt have also put some effort into improving airflow around
the car, while at the same time giving it a much more aggressive
appearance. Modifications begin with the deeper front apron
incorporating four auxiliary headlights and larger air vents.
The side skirts have been designed to calm the airflow between
the front and rear wheel arches while also providing a continuous
style line between the front and rear bumpers. At the rear TechArt
have equipped the GTsport with a large rear wing and carbon
fibre air diffuser.
The electronically adjustable PASM system has been upgraded
with the addition of TechArts own VarioPlus coil over system.
This allows the driver to adjust the GTsports ride height by
up to an inch. While also selecting between 'Normal' and 'Sport'
modes at the push of a button.
Inside, TechArt will customise the interior of the GTsport to
individual customers specifications. Options and materials include,
full leather interiors, sports accessories such as ergonomically
shaped airbag sports steering wheels with three or four spokes
as well as aluminum foot pedals, shifter and foot rest. Also
available are stainless-steel door sills with the TechArt logo.
