Saleen,
the legendary Ford Mustang tuners, coachbuilders and
creators of the Mighty Saleen S7, started a new line of custom modifications,
the Cool Tops, with the 2006 Mustang.
The Saleen S281 Scenic Roof features an expansive, single
piece glass roof with near-seamless joins between the windscreen
and rear window.
The glass itself is laminate safety glass with incorporating
UV ray protection.
Although not a radical alteration, when combined with the
already distinctive lines of the new-style Mustang, the S281
Scenic Roof conversion is a thoroughly attractive car.

While my last name is not Saleen, I have complete respect for
Steve's work. The lines on the Saleen Mustang in its delivered
form lack the busyness of some of the other Custom Builds. The
look of the car seems to be well thought out from every angle
and view.
The public has long asked for this look though. At Car Shows
Manufacturers have realized this but the end product almost
always fails to deliver on this, mostly due to cost cutting.
Builders like Steve Saleen and Chip Foose understand that if
we just wanted to go fast we could buy a used race car for a
lot less and go a lot faster.
We want to look cool as we zip by!!!!!!!!
