SpeedArt have made some tasty modified Porsche's over the last
10 years, and now it's the turn of the Panamera to undergo some
tuning tweeks.
Unfortunately while most other Porsche models - aside from the
Cayenne, give the modifiers a good looking base vehicle to work
off, the Panamera could hardly be described as a good looking
car. Especially from the side view where the humpbacked profile
looks awkward.
Despite this SpeedArt have done their best to improve the appearance
of the Panamera with a subtle aerodynamic kit which was computer
designed to match the contours of the car and improve overall
fit and quality.
In SpeedArt's own words: "The target was to create a
sportive look without disturbing the proportions and to reduce
and optimize the CW-values [drag]. Especially the rear
has become more sportive because of the new speedART lining.
An improved downforce prepares this sportive limousine with
the speedART powerkit for every operational area. The concept
of the two-tone painting is reflecting in the area of the rear
diffuser, side skirts, rear wing and front chin spoiler and
creates a whole new look of the car in the lower sections."
The most important upgrades SpeedArt have made to the Panamera
are to the engine. Powerkits are available which raise the output
in various stages from 520hp, all the way up to 650hp. The 650hp
version can hit 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reach over 200+mph.
These enhancements come courtesy of a sports air filter, custom
tuned and sound adjustable sports exhaust, modified turbochargers
and bigger intercoolers.
Other changes include upgraded brake kits - varying from sports
brake systems, to race-spec ceramic brakes, and a range of 22"
alloy wheel and tire packages.
For better or worse SpeedArt have also turned their attention
to the interior. Here the buyers can tailor the colors and materials
to suit their tastes, selecting from fabric, leather, microfiber,
carbon fiber, stainless steel, aluminium and wood.
