For
the 2009 Porsche
Cayman TechArt has developed their own range of tuning and
styling products.
TechArt's bodykits are usually quite sympathetic to the vehicle's
original lines. And the 2009 TechArt Cayman is no different.
All the aerodynamic upgrades were wind tunnel tested to optimize
their drag coefficients and improve overall downforce. The aerokit
comprises of a new front bumper with an integrated lip spoiler
that matches the body's color, new side sills, and a new rear
bumper. The prominent rear spoiler works in conjunction with
an air diffuser built into the rear bumper to ensure greater
stability at high speeds.
Rounding out the exterior visual enhancements is a new daylight
running light system which uses LED light bars neatly molded
into the front bumper to provide a distinctive appearance. The
daytime running lights dim automatically when either of the
turning signals is active to improve their visibility.
TechArt have also made some changes to the Cayman's chassis
with the addition of stiffer and shorter springs (up to 30mm
shorter), and TechArt designed 19" and 20" forged
wheels.
Performance-wise TechArt have left the drivetrain pretty much
as standard. The only new product is a sports exhaust which
offers a more sporting resonance to the exhaust note.
The interior of the 2009 TechArt Porsche Cayman can be designed
exactly to match the customers tastes due to the fact TechArt
operate their own in-house saddlery. Options include carbon-fibre
and aluminium trim elements and pedals, sport steering wheels,
illuminated emblems, and upholstery in a multitude of colors.
A similar cosmetic and performance upgrade package is also available
for the 2009 Porsche Boxster.
