The UgurSahinDesign Corvette Z03 which is to be built by Mallett
Cars from Berea, Ohio is a highly modified Chevrolet Corvette
C6 with both exterior and performance upgrades. The production
car is based on the Corvette Z03 concept which Ugur Sahin
designed in 2008.
The bodywork of the Mallett Corvette Z03 by UgurSahinDesign
is constructed using lightweight carbon fibre composite and
features a heavily revised rear section which eschews the
large curved rear window in favor of a smaller slit-like window
and sweeping buttresses which are more commonly found on mid-engined
cars. Not that you'd have much trouble guessing where the
engine is located thanks to a pair of glass windows located
in the hood which neatly show off the LS7 V8 engine. The sweeping
diamond shaped headlights are intended to mirror the shape
of the the engine windows and lend the Z03 a more sinister
appearance.
Down the sides the UgurSahinDesign Mallett Z03 has been equipped
with a set of imitation rear quarter light windows which work
extremely well with the cars overall styling and give it a
Ferrari-esque appearance. The lateral air vents situated just
behind the front wheels have also been heavily revised and
now feature a more pronounced style line originating from
the front and moving back out towards the rear wheel arch.
The rear taillight panel of the Mallett Corvette Z03 features
a cleaner, less cluttered design but still displays the trademark
paired round taillights of the Corvette.
Under the hood of the UgurSahinDesign Mallett Corvette Z03
is a choice of two engine packages. First up is the 700 hp
'Dead Blow Hammer' conversion which consists of a Vortech
supercharger kit with Mallett modifications, a custom designed
fuel delivery system, custom heads, throttle body, camshaft
and valve springs, performance engine internals and a full
performance exhaust. If this isn't enough Mallett can offer
up to 999 hp in the Z03 'APS Twin Turbo Hammer' conversion
by fitting the LS7 V8 with two turbochargers instead of the
supercharger.
