The German tuning firm Wheelsandmore has given the Ferrari 458
Italia a work over which incorporates both cosmetic and performance
upgrades.
First off, the direct injection 4.5 litre V8 has been enhanced
with the addition of a new high-performance handcrafted, lightweight
exhaust system and compatible ECU
upgrade. That means the power has been raised to 620 hp - around
50 more than the standard car. The peak torque
figure has also been increased, and it now stands at 498 lb-ft
(675Nm). This extra power means the Wheelsandmore Ferrari 458
Italia can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds, a fraction
faster than the regular 458.
The cosmetic upgrades for the Wheelsandmore 458 Italia essentially
revolve around new 21 inch forged multipiece wheels and new
color and graphics options. The car show car is finished in
gleaming red with a central white stripe reminiscent of the
the Ferrari 458 Challenge.
As far as German-tuned Ferrari's go, the Wheelsandmore 458 is
a restrained and stylish proposition which keeps the basic character
of the car while giving it a bit more power and flair.
