The
Ferrari 250 GTZ Berlinetta of 1956 is widely regarded as one
of the most beautiful cars of all time, especially among collectors
and enthusiasts. Japanese car collector Yoshiyuki Hayashi is
one such man.
Hayashi approached Zagato with a proposition, to build a car
based on the Ferrari 575 in the style of the 250 GTZ. The Zagato
Ferrari 575 GTZ was the result.
When Zagato received the request for the 575 GTZ they contacted
Ferrari about the project and it was decided that this would
be a good opportunity to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of
the original GTZ.
The exclusive 575 GTZ features an all-aluminium body and unique,
yet subtle, two tone paint work. The cab being a slightly lighter
shade than the rest of the body.
The Zagato Ferrari 575 GTZ was unveiled at the prestigious Villa
D'Este Concours D'Elegance, an invitation-only car show in Italy
where only the most exclusive and expensive cars are on display.
