I bought the X MAX 250 scooter (2005 model) to do the London
knowledge on*. I have a full motorbike license and have owned
all kinds of sports bikes. I had never rode a scooter before
and did not know what to expect. All I can say is that I was
very pleasantly suprised by the reliability and performance
of this machine. The X MAX 250 has enough grunt to easily keep
up with the traffic, even on motorways. It is reliable (so far)
and economical, I get around 60 - 70 miles per gallon even when
riding it quite hard. It is perfect as a commuter and ideal
for what I am using it for, in fact I may well keep it when
and if I complete the knowledge.
*(Edit: The London Knowledge is a License required of black
taxi cab drivers in London to show they have sufficient knowledge
of the city and its roads. Good luck!)
