The
Yamaha FX Nytro is powered by a 130hp-class Genesis 130FI
which features a sizeable performance gain over the Genesis
120 engine. This increase can be attributed to a slightly
larger displacement, 1050cc 3-cylinder design and the
introduction of Yamaha’s advanced fuel injection technology.
The engine uses lightweight crank technology and the fuel
injection system to deliver faster throttle response.
The Genesis 130FI features Yamaha's Engine Braking Reduction
System (EBRS). This system allows a small amount of air
to pass through the fuel injection system when the throttle
is released, giving riders a “coast” feeling.
The compact design of the engine means that it can be
positioned down low and back in the chassis, leaving the
top of the cab open for airflow. This position gives the
Yamaha FX Nytro a more centralized mass.
The Yamaha FX Nytro features race-proven Dual Shock CK
rear suspension which took four years of testing and development.
The rear shock uses a compression-adjusting clicker on
its remote reservoir to allow riders to tune the setup
to their liking.
