When bad taste and stickers collide

CFC vinyl wrap Volkswagen Beetle

A German company called Car Film Components (CFC), specialists in a range of different coverings for automobile styling and care, have just revealed their latest work. And it’s not pretty. For 2,200 Euros ($3,140) CFC will cover your new Volkswagen Beetle (not the new, new one for 2012) in a vinyl wrap that makes your Bug look like it was left unattended for a week at the local kindergarten. Just to top it all off, and add an incredibly mismatched style to the car, the doors, hood and trunk lid are all covered in a black velvet. Just try keeping that clean!

In addition to the wrap, CFC have also fitted the car with ride destroying 19″ wheels (available for 339 Euros ($484)  per corner). The wheels can either be bought as is with a standard black polish. Or for a tiny bit more CFC will stick some matching wrap to the outer edge of the rims.

The other modifications available are a set of wheel spacers and a KW coilover suspension kit. In total, if you want the full package you’ll have to find close to 5,000 Euros ($7,145)  before CFC will entertain your delusions.

Believe it or not, these are people here in Portland OR that will gladly pay to have it done.

I like the look, but no way I’d pay three thousand bucks to have it done. I’d put my own stickers on it.
