The title says it all really. Kia is going to unveil a four-door sports sedan at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Kia have gone the opposite way from most manufacturers when it comes to providing a teaser for an upcoming concept. Most of the time we get to see a vague, stylised image of the vehicle along with its name. Kia have opted to provide five hi-res images showing their concept from a variety of angles, but then decided to keep the name a secret.
Kia’s four-door sports sedan concept is a good looking car by anyone’s standards. In fact from some angles it even has a touch of the Lamborghini Estoque about it – which isn’t bad for a budget South Korean brand!
The concept is apparently the first vehicle to introduce Kia’s new design direction. Peter Schreyer, Kia Motors Chief Design Officer, said of the concept: “No matter from which perspective you look at it – this concept car is roaring with energy and ready for take-off. I believe the car is a strong statement from Kia: we are ready to fast forward to an all new chapter.”
We’ll have to wait until September to find out more on Kia’s new concept.
