For the 2013 model year Audi has elected to give the A4 and S4 a fairly comprehensive mid-life revamp. Good timing considering their main rival BMW has an all-new 3-series headed for the dealerships next year. The 2013 A4 and S4 will get lightly revised bodywork, new headlights and taillights, and a the A4 will get some new powertrain choices.
But it’s the S4 we’re mainly talking about here so here’s the information so far: The drivetrain will remain the same as before, that means there’s a 3.0 litre TFSI V6 which produces 333 horsepower and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque under the hood. As before the S4 takes around 5.0 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h), and the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.
Audi say that the 2013 S4 will be identifiable from the previous model year by the new headlights, bumpers, air intakes and color choices. The interior will be subtly revised and there’ll be some new steering wheel options. The MMI navigation plus system now features four instead of eight buttons, with a script function integrated in the volume control dial.
