Infiniti are currently in the process of developing an advanced, range-extending electric sports car concept which they will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012. To accompany the announcement, the company have released a couple of teaser images showing the concept from a couple of not-very-helpful angles.
Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President of Nissan and Infiniti explained the idea behind the concept: “At the Geneva show next year, we will present our vision for a totally new kind of inspired premium performance car. Infiniti already has hybrid and clean diesel models on sale. And with an all-electric sedan on the way, the natural next step was to push the boundaries where performance and the environment intersect.”
By the looks of the current crop of images, the new concept looks to share a number of styling features with both the Infiniti Essence concept from 2009, and the Infiniti Etherea concept which was revealed earlier this year.
Expect to see more details and images of Infiniti’s new environmentally friendly sports car as the date of its unveiling gets nearer.
