Despite the fact the 2012 Detroit Auto Show has only just opened its doors, Infiniti have chosen today to release a teaser image of their all-new Geneva-bound sports car concept. The range extended electric sports car will be the first Infiniti to have not only a range-extender drivetrain, but also one located in a mid-mounted position for optimal weight distribution.
The as yet unnamed car is designed to explore what might be the company’s next step in producing an exciting but environmentally responsible sports car.
While the single image doesn’t reveal much about the car, Infiniti say the styling of the concept will be in line with the more recent Infiniti production and concept cars.
More information on the Infiniti Sports Car Concept will be released closer to its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
