ABT Sportsline is now offering a number of performance, aerodynamic and interior upgrades for the latest VW Beetle. All the individual parts which make up their creation – called the ABT Sportsline VW Beetle Limousine 5CO – can be ordered individually or as a comprehensive makeover.
The 2.0 litre turbocharged engine gains an extra 40 horsepower thanks to a new ECU and a new exhaust. That takes the total to a fairly useful 240 horsepower. ABT also offer better brakes and a more sporting suspension setup designed to improve the handling. Styling enhancements include a new front and rear bumper, headlight and tailight covers, and a license plate insert.
In addition ABT Sportsline will equip the Beetle with a choice of two different wheels, in sizes from 18 to 20 inches. For the inside, ABT Sportsline’s only offering is a set of embroidered floor mats.
