Vorsteiner GTRS5 BMW M3

Vorsteiner GTRS5 BMW M3

For M3 owners who like their cars ostentatious and obvious, Vorsteiner are here to help with a widebody kit for the car. The Vorsteiner GTRS5 BMW M3 is only available for the M3 Coupe, and the company only plan to build 40 examples.

Vorsteiner’s package includes an evil-looking front bumper, a new hood, deeper side sills, wider wheel arches, a new rear bumper and a new trunk lid. The wheels are 3-Piece concave forged aluminum wheels wrapped in a set of Nitto Invo performance tires.

Despite the over-the-top looks Vorsteiner only power upgrade for the car is a titanium sports exhaust which adds around 10 hp to the M3′s standard 420 horsepower.

Below is the official press release for the Vorsteiner GTRS5:

Bodywork
The alluring mystique of this widebody starts with the front bumper. Our designers and engineers have worked on creating a bold race car stance with keeping functionality in mind. It creates an unmistakable presence whether it is on the road or on the track.

Excellence is not an accident. It is a matter of paying attention to the smallest of details. The GTRS5 front bumper distinctive look comes from the added vertical vent. It is small detail that demands attention and separates it from the ordinary. The result is a front end that improves downforce while directing cool air to the radiator and intake.

The GTS3 Hood is an optional component which promotes the race car persona. The optical 1×1 carbon fiber ventilation louvers allows heat to be extracted from the engine compartment. The hood also features a revised center power dome with sharper tension edges.

The sides are also carefully crafted to match the stance of the front end. The extended front fenders complement the front bumper and feature a vertical vent to allow for greater airflow for the front brakes.

The wider posture of the vehicle is continued with the extended side skirts to improve airflow and reduce drag. The style and functionality is further enhanced with the addition of the extended rear quarter panel fender arch.

The rear bumper completes the package of the GTRS5. It harmonizes with the rest of the components to sculpt the body lines and add performance.

Made to be subtle, the extended aero fins on the GTRS5 integrated rear diffuser extend further down than the GTRS3. This is engineered on purpose to reduce drag and turbulence and to assist in generating additional downforce.

Along either side of the rear bumper is the vertical vents with carbon fiber inserts. More than just a beauty piece, the design change is to enhance performance by increasing air flow and reduce drag. These little details matter to us at Vorsteiner because we are always striving for perfection.

As an option to the GTRS5 program the GTRS3 Carbon Fiber Aero Boot Lid is available to complete the look and create additional rear downforce. It reduces weight without loss of rigidity or durability and is a perfect factory fitment.

Exhaust
The Vorsteiner Titanium Exhaust System for the GTRS5 is made with performance in mind. To reduce the weight of the exhaust we used titanium for this cat back system saving over 20lbs. from the factory stainless steel exhaust.

The unmistakable rich deeper tone from this exhaust has a sporty Formula 1 sound with minimized interior drone. Peak horsepower gains of 10hp* is possible from this bolt-on system that requires no modification on the factory components.

The final touches of the exhaust system is the blue torched finish on the 82mm titanium tips. The exhaust tips are also laser etched with the Vorsteiner logo and has adjustable settings.

Wheels
The design of this 3-piece wheel is no accident. We have carefully engineered the VS-310 to improve vehicle performance & minimize unsprung weight.

Compromise is not an option which is the reason we utilize the highest quality forged T6-6061 aircraft aluminum materials. This is to ensure that we provide the highest quality product that you expect from Vorsteiner.

The wheel is designed to provide clearance for aftermarket big brake kits and is compatible with the factory tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Each wheel is individually built to specifically meet the requirements of the vehicle. It is then finished in a custom powder coat or painted to the client’s desired specifications.
