It’s a bit off-piste, but this two and a half minute long sci-fi short film created by brothers Christopher and Greg Desantis is worthy of your time. Especially if you’re a fan of far-out concept vehicles.
Shogun Tango is a race which takes place across the California flats. It looks like a brutal and lethal competition. In fact two thirds of the participants in this particular race end up as charred pate.
The film is prefaced with a short introduction which reads; “Every December 25th a land race is held in New Bonneville, California. Only the fastest and most powerful vehicles can handle the grueling conditions.The official race title is, The Bonneville Classic 5000. But the world has come to know it as The Shogun Tango.”
