Okay lets tackle the obvious here. This RX-8 has clearly been subjected to a rather ferocious attack of Lamborghini-inspired customisation. What’s less obvious, and perhaps more interesting, is how well it has been done. The car, and presumably its owner, live in Singapore. It’s the product of over two years of work, and surprisingly there’s only a small amount of fiberglass involved.

Most of the new bodywork is formed from carbon fiber, and aside from the roof line and windows very little of the original car is left. Even the trademark rear-hinged rear doors of the RX-8 have been ditched to make way for wider wheel arches and a complex lateral air intake.

In addition to the fancy new bodywork, the Blacknight RX-8 features unspecified performance upgrades. Although I highly doubt whether it has the same performance as its Lamborghini muse.
