At the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, Opel/Vauxhall will be lifting the proverbial lid on a cheekily-named concept car called the ADAM ROCKS.
The Opel ADAM ROCKS concept is an urban mini-crossover which the company says could open a new segment in the industry. Yes another one. Compared with the production ADAM, the ADAM ROCKS concept is taller, wider and features a slide-back canvas roof similar to the one used on the Fiat 500c.
The ADAM ROCKS concept sits 15mm (0.6 inches) higher than the standard car, and has a 20mm (0.8 inch) wider stance. These subtle increases in dimensions are exaggerated by the ruggedized body kit which covers the wheel arch openings and lower portion of the bodywork.
Malcolm Ward, Vauxhall/Opel Lead Design Director, said of the concept: “With even bolder design than any other ADAM, the ROCKS shows the vast potential for personalisation our stylish urban-chic newcomer offers. It combines the toughness of a crossover with the coolness of open air driving. As a symbol for fashion-led, active drivers wanting to stand out from the crowd, ADAM ROCKS is just one possible answer to the question of how new development paths for this unique car could be forged.”
The Opel ADAM ROCKS concept will be on display at the Opel/Vauxhall stand in Hall 2 of the Geneva Motor Show.
