The Nissan Juke Nismo RSnow is a specially modified Juke Nismo RS which has been adapted for powering through snow. The most obvious and significant modification to the vehicle are the four rubber tracks which replace the wheels. Aside from these, Nissan say the vehicle is ‘nearly’ stock.
The Nissan Juke Nismo RSnow’s tracks come from American Track Truck, and all that was needed to fit the system was some minor changes to the bumpers, while a recalibration of the torque-vectoring AWD system ensures it all runs smoothly.
But while the Juke Nismo RSnow might be more capable on snow, on the road it’s a different matter. After the modifications, the top speed is estimated to be in the region of 62 mph (100 km/h).
Of course it’s by no means the only SUV or car to be fitted with tracks, but its rare to see one come from a major manufacturer. The Subaru WRX STI TRAX is another – although to be fair it’s had a few extra modifications along the way.
