As promised, based on the sketches Husqvarna released in May, the company has now released the details on their first purpose-built street bike. Called the Husqvarna Nuda 900 R, the new bike is designed to be light and easy to handle. Like the off-road racing machines Husqvarna is famous for, the Nuda 900 R will feature top-shelf components like Sachs forks, a fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock absorber, Brembo brakes, a sports exhaust and carbon fiber details.
Powering the Husqvarna Nuda 900 R is a 900cc parallel twin engine which produces just over 100 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque. The engine was actually developed by BMW and is a variation on the unit used in the BMW F800R. This is due to the fact Husqvarna is a subsidiary of the Bavarian giant.
