Czech artist David Cerny has just unveiled his latest piece of work. Adding an extra dimension to the unusual installation is a speaker system which simulates the breathing and groans of an athlete doing push-ups – all in perfect sync with the physical motion of the bus. Accompanying the audio are multi-colored video projections in the windows – presumably these also help hide the inner workings of the sculpture.
Cerny’s bus will be positioned outside the Czech Olympic House in London during the 2012 London Olympics. It’s titled “London Boosted” and is intended to be a fitting but also rather playful way of celebrating the event.
