The Alpine iDA-X305 is one of the company's third generation 1-DIN
iPod Digital Media Receivers. This unit can provide seamless control
of your iPod, iPhone and many other popular digital devices right
from your dash. This unit is also Satellite Radio Ready, (although
additional adapters and subscription are required).
The iDA-X305 features a large Double-Action Rotary Encoder Knob. This
is used for controlling functions like QuickSearch - for finding songs,
or adjusting the volume. This knob can be detached from the face-plate
for antitheft purposes, the display however remains on the front panel.
The buttons can be switched between red or blue illumination.
One of the cool little gimmicky features of the iDA-X305 is the clock.
Instead of a regular looking digital clock, Alpine have given the
unit a digital version of the old-style flip clocks.
