The side window design has a discreet chrome trim bar running below the window line which ends in a sharp tick at the rear. Instead of side mirrors, the HED-Genus concept was equipped with rear-view cameras mounted on small projections.

One of the more unusual features of the Hyundai HED-2 Genus was the retractable rear bench seat, this could be doubled up with a sliding deck hidden within the rear bumper to form an outside seating area.
