The Sbarro Ionos was a concept designed to follow in the
footsteps of the Lancia
Stratos.
Power for the two seat Sbarro Ionos came from a mid-mounted
V10 created from two Lancia Kappa 5 cylinder engines mated
to form one unit. The transmission was a AWD system from
the Porsche
911 Carrera 4.
The Sbarro Ionos never made it to production and the car
remained a prototype.
In 2005 another concept influenced by the Lancia Stratos
appeared, this time it was called the Fenomenon
Stratos. This concept was no relation to the Sbarro
Ionos.
